Work With Me

How engagements work

If you are reading this page, you have probably already done the difficult work. You have built process discipline into your organization. You have run improvement initiatives that produced measurable results. And now you are looking at AI and asking the question that matters: how do we integrate this with the rigor it demands?

That is the conversation I am built for.

I work as the architect, not the builder. Engagements are designed around synthesis, diagnosis, and design. I am not the person who embeds for months executing tasks. I am the person who sees what others miss, builds the map, and designs the system so that your team can own it after I leave.

The Phase 1 Diagnostic

This is where every engagement starts. It is a defined, 30-day engagement that runs your organization through the Scope phase of the Human-Centered AI Framework.

What you get

Current-state assessment

Documents where your organization actually stands on AI readiness, not where a vendor survey says you stand. What processes are documented and stable enough to build on. Where tacit knowledge lives. What your people are afraid of and what they are excited about.

AI opportunity map

Identifies where AI integration has the highest leverage in your specific operation, matched against your existing process maturity. Not a list of tools. A map of where AI multiplies what your team already does well.

Prioritized Human Purpose Gate analysis

Answers the question most organizations skip: for each process that AI could touch, what does the human become? Which roles evolve, which responsibilities shift, and what new capabilities need to be built so that the people inside the process are genuinely better off, not just reassigned.

Timeline: 30 days.

Pricing: Contact for pricing.

Format: The diagnostic produces a written deliverable. It is designed as a standalone engagement that delivers value on its own, whether or not a longer engagement follows.

What happens after the diagnostic

The Phase 1 Diagnostic is complete in itself. Some organizations take the deliverable and run with it internally. Others want continued guidance as they move into the deeper phases. Three continuation paths are available:

Phase 2–3 Advisory

Ongoing guidance as your organization moves through the Map and Delegate phases of the framework. I work alongside your transformation leader to ensure that process mapping captures the human judgment that must be preserved and that the delegation decisions are made with the right design constraints in place.

Coaching Retainer

Regular sessions with me as a thinking partner for the person leading your AI transformation. This is for the VP or Director who has the responsibility, has the organizational mandate, and wants a structured sounding board with someone who has navigated these decisions across multiple industries and contexts.

Workshop Intensive

A concentrated half-day or full-day session with your leadership team. Designed for organizations that need to build shared understanding quickly, align on framework principles, and leave the room with a common language for the decisions ahead.

What this is not

This is not an implementation engagement where I embed in your organization for months executing tasks. It is not a retainer without defined scope or deliverables. And it is not a free advisory relationship dressed up as a partnership.

Every engagement has a defined scope, a timeline, and a deliverable. Every engagement should bring both of us something worth the time invested. If an engagement tips into repetitive execution, the right move is to hand it off or restructure it, not to keep billing.

Start the conversation

If your organization has done the process improvement work and is ready to ask what AI makes possible next, I would like to hear about your situation. No pitch, no pressure. A conversation about where you are and whether the framework fits.

Common questions about working together

What does the Phase 1 Diagnostic cost?

Pricing depends on the size and complexity of the organization and the scope of AI integration being considered. Contact for a conversation about your specific situation. The diagnostic is a defined, 30-day engagement with a written deliverable, not an open-ended retainer.

Do I need to commit to a longer engagement after the diagnostic?

No. The Phase 1 Diagnostic is designed as a standalone engagement that delivers a complete, usable deliverable. Some organizations continue into Phase 2–3 Advisory or a Coaching Retainer. Others take the diagnostic and execute internally. Both are valid outcomes.

What industries does the Human-Centered AI Framework apply to?

The framework is designed for human-intensive service environments where process improvement has a track record. Past work spans healthcare operations, financial services, logistics, and professional services. The common factor is not the industry but the organizational maturity: documented processes, a commitment to structured improvement, and leadership that takes AI integration seriously.

How is this different from hiring an AI implementation firm?

AI implementation firms typically start with the technology and build outward. This engagement starts with your processes and your people, then determines where AI fits and how to design the integration so that both get better over time. The deliverable is not a technology roadmap. It is a human-centered design for how your organization works with AI.

What size organization is this for?

The framework works best with organizations of 100 to 2,000 employees. Large enough to have structured improvement functions and leadership invested in the outcome. Small enough that a single external expert working with the right internal champion has real leverage on how the transformation unfolds.
